Training

It has now been confirmed that training will continue to be at Football World in Cross Green on a wed at 6pm on the indoor pitch number 2 .

We have now blocked booked this pitch all the way through winter.

The cost will be £50 per week, the cost to parents will be £1.50 and we will make up the difference from the kitty and other fund raising activities.

When paying on the night please either bring the correct change with you or pay for a couple of weeks in advance as I won't have much change on me.

If you can think of other fund raising activities let either me or Andy know.

Xmas Party and Night Out

Hi all

The kids xmas party will be at Laser Zone at Xscape on Sunday 19th December at 12:45pm, the cost will be £11.99 each and included in the cost will 2 games of Laser Shooting and food.

The best shooter will also get a free game voucher.

I will require a deposit of £5 per child before 19th Nov.

There is also a parents night out on Friday 17th Dec, please text me if you would prefer either a drink at a local pub or a meal.

New Training Venue

As from Wed 3rd October we will be training at Football World in Cross Green.

Training will be between 6pm and 7pm on one of the outdoor pitches.

The best way of getting there is via the new the M1/A1 link road come off at Jn 45, head towards Leeds and after 3 roundabouts they are on the left had side.

If you have transport problems let me know and I normally have some space in my car.

Please note, as the pitches are outside please ensure your son has got the correct attire and blades / studs are not allowed unless the pitch is slippy due to rain etc.

£1 payment is still required to help towards the cost.

Goalkeeper Training

Rothwell Town have made arrangements with the goalkeeping coach, Alan, to start saturday morning sessions again.

They will start this saturday at 10.30 and he will be at Rothwell every two weeks.

On Sunday the CRL Team will be playing away at Garforth Rangers kick off is at 10:30am venue will be added as soon as I know it.

Garforth League teams have an internal challenge match, Mark's Maltesers vs Stuart's Smarties at Northfield Avenue kick off is at 10:30am.

The winning team wil get a bag of either Maltesers or Smarties (to share). Yes that's right a whole bag!! (to share)

important updates - Training and CRL

Training has been moved from Wed to Tue, same time and same venue at Soccer City. This is due to Soccer City not being able to fit us in on a wed for the time being.

Update from Andy - Wed 6th Oct

Hi all

For those that couldn't make it to training yesterday, here are the key points of what Andy had to say.

1 - Training will move indoors as from Wed 13th Oct, using the facilities at Soccer City,
1 Benyon Pk WayLeeds LS12 6DP from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.
At the moment no funding has been received for this, so Andy is requesting that parents bring £1 with them on the night to pay towards the venue.

2 - Andy and Lesley Dooner are trying to organise a bag packing day at Morrison's, possibly Sat 6th Nov, the proceeds from this will go towards paying for the venue for training. Will update you on this once the date has been confirmed.

3 - Andy reiterated that parents should try and refrain from coaching the kids from the sidelines and continue to encourage them in a positive manner.

4 - Andy also said that the general behaviour of the kids needs to improve, so a couple of things have been implemented:

• The kids have been informed that if they are disruptive they will be giving warnings which could result in them having to sit out for the whole training session.
• Good trainer and reward badges will also be introduced and these will be given out each week to the players identified by the coaches as the best behaved players.

5 - Finally, Chris informed everyone that he has decided to step down from his coaching duties due to his current work commitments.

TRAINING AND FRIENDLIES FOR THE NEW SEASON

WELCOME BACK!!

Training for the new season will re-commence on Wed 25th August at 5:30pm and it will then be every wed from then on.

We will also be doing a training session for those that can make it on Sat 28th Aug and Sat 4th Sept.

All training sessions will take place up at Rothwell Town until further notice.

We are also hoping to arrange friendlies for the following dates:
Thurs 2nd Sept, Sun 5th Sept and Thurs 9th Sept. Please let Andy know if your son will NOT be available for any of these dates.

WELL DONE AND THANK YOU

All the coaches would like to say a BIG well done and thank you to all the players involved in the summer league. We have been very proud of their development over the last few months and how they have managed to get a place in the final.

Unfortunately we didn't get the result we desired and probably deserved in the final, but each player can be pleased with their performance on the day. One of the organisers said that this was the best match he had seen out of all the other finals over the last two weeks. A big thank you also to everyone who turned up to support, i'm sure this give the players a big lift.

Everyone now deserves a break and we are all looking forward to the winter season kicking off again in Sept. Watch this space for future updates. Cheers Rob

I am pleased to confirm your reservation of six twin rooms for one night from 12/09/2010 to 13/09/2010.
The tariff is £72.50 per person on a dinner bed & breakfast and 2 days golf based on two people sharing.
The tee has been reserved as follows:

Six buggies have been reserved on the Sunday at a cost of £20.00 per buggy per round. As discussed buggies on the Monday are on a complimentary basis.

Smart casual wear is a minimum standard. On the course Jeans, tracksuits, shell suits and trainers are not permitted, Shirts must have a collar and shorts must be tailored.

Golf shoes must be worn on the course.

Smart casual wear pervades throughout the clubhouse; jackets and ties are optional.

SUMMER LEAGUE FINAL - DETAILS

Our Summer League Final will take place on Sunday 1st August vs Hemsworth Terriers.

The final kicks off at 5pm, followed straight afterwards by our 2nd game and then presentations.

We will be departing Rothwell Town at exactly 4pm.

Even if your child is not involved we would welcome you to come along and support the team.

Well Done to both Rothwell Town A and Rothwell Town B for winning a gala each this season. It's the least the kids deserve after a long hard season. Rothwell Town A won the Garforth Villa Gala and Rothwell Town B won the Colton Gala. (can someone send me a pic of our trophy win at Garfoth please)

The new kits will be distributed on saturday at the colton gala.

Please arrive at 1pm so that you then have the time to change into the kit, we will then play the gala in the the new strip.

Those of you who aren't at the gala, your kit will be ready for collection at training on monday.

We have agreed to pass on our old kit to the under 8's for next season, please bring this with you to training on Monday old kit (washed and ironed).
