A Bad Dad at the Office

Rothwell Town 2 Ardsley 8

"Ever tried? Ever failed? Try again. Fail again. Fail better!" (Beckett)
Match Report
Town slipped to their second defeat of the season against a good Ardsley team who had only been beaten once this season. A very close first half saw Ardsley shade it 3-2 despite 2 fantastic strikes from Dom, one goal straight from the kick off. The second half proved very one sided but only after a couple of good saves from the Ardsley keeper. They never looked back after a couple of goals, going on to stretch their lead. Not once did anybody give in, which shows a great attitude.
Managers Reveiw (Colins unique insight)
The wind died and we lost the oars on Sunday but through the mist of the intervening days we will attempt to whip up a storm for the next game against Royston and revisit the early promise as evidenced by the
purple patch of those free scoring season entry games!

Our heads will not drop but will come to meet the ball in every area of the park, positionally we will mark out and guard individual territories like the dogs of war! We will all work as impenetrable but incisive units from defence to midfield to attack! Our bodies will become battering rams that neither ball nor man can pass through! Do this and we WILL bounce back and once again taste the life affirming essence of victory or honest effort.

'Build up your weaknesses until they become your strengths'
(Rockne)

'Always do what you're afraid to do' (Emerson)...'but
only under supervison' (O'Loan)

MOM goes to Dom for a fine first goal from just outside
the box and unstinting effort for the full 60!
